RIANA organised its first Training School on Nanoscience & Nanotechnology at Forschungszentrum Jülich.
26 young scientists from Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Lithuania, Poland, Serbia, Spain, and Switzerland met for an intensive programme of lectures, site visits, hands-on training, and networking.
13 lecturers presented state-of-the-art methods such as laser structuring, FIB, electron microscopy, neutron scattering, NMR, supercomputing, and cleanroom techniques, and the students were able to gain practical experience at leading Jülich institutes such as ER-C, JCNS, IBI, JSC, and HNF.
The school fostered interdisciplinary exchange, access to world-class infrastructures, and new collaborations, setting the stage for future editions.
Many thanks to all lecturers and demonstrators and to Dr. Ing. Genevieve Wilbs, Inka Manek-Hönninger, Forschungszentrum Jülich, and the Ernst Ruska-Centre (ER-C) for organising and hosting this great event!
