User Access
Customised access to non-proprietary users in nanoscience and nanotechnology – typically academic
We accept user proposals based on a “continuous call” concept. Applications for Pre-proposals are not mandatory but are highly encouraged.
Access Conditions
- TA rules
- Maximum of 4 infrastructures in one proposal
- Maximum of 120 hours/infrastructure and maximum of 360 hours/proposal
- Users agree to publish results
Access Reimbursement to Infrastructure
- Fraction of the full costs
Access Reimbursement to Users
- Travel/accommodation/subsistence is reimbursed for up to two Users per trip

The application is open throughout the project and implemented as a rolling call.
Access Conditions
- TA rules
- Access being requested by an SME
- Maximum of 4 infrastructures in one proposal
- Maximum of 120 hours/technique and maximum of 360 hours/proposal
- Users do not have to publish results
Access Reimbursement to Infrastructure
- Full costs, of which RIANA covers the same flat rate as for non-proprietary access, and the users cover the difference to the full costs
Access Reimbursement to Users
- Travel/accommodation/subsistence is reimbursed for up to two users per trip
- A lump sum of 1,000 € is reimbursed for successful proposals by SMEs
- Up to 10,000 € is reimbursed for the support of SMEs by intermediaries
