The LP3 laboratory (UMR 7341/CNRS/Aix-Marseille University) is recruiting a Junior Research Scientist to join the European consortium of the RIANA project and contribute to research on laser-matter interaction within the Laserlab-Europe network.
📍 Location: Campus de Luminy, Marseille, France
📅 Start date: January 2026
📄 Contract: 24 months (full-time)
💶 Salary range: ~ 3 081 € – 3 519 € per month

🔧 Your mission:
👉 Act as scientific researcher and technical staff for RIANA – project user access in the Laserlab-Europe network
👉 Contribute to European project monitoring, reports & deliverables
👉 Perform experimental work in laser processing, surface structuring, thin films, and characterizations
👉 Disseminate results (publications, conferences, training) & support scientific networking
🎓 What we’re looking for:
👉 PhD (or equivalent) in physics, materials science, optics, or related field
👉 Strong experimental expertise in laser–matter interaction and/or advanced characterization
👉 Excellent written & oral communication in English (French is a plus)
👉 Ability to work in multidisciplinary, collaborative environments
👉 Experience with European project deliverables is a plus
