Course on "Materials Science Using Ions"
The course “Materials Science Using Ions” will be offered by HZDR scientists from the Ion Beam Center during the winter semester at TU Dresden (October 31, 2025 – February 6, 2026).
Lectures will take place on Fridays from 13:00 to 14:30 and will be held in person at HZDR, with the option to join via Zoom.
The course introduces the use of ions in materials science — from fundamental concepts to practical applications — and is suitable for students, postdocs, and researchers of all levels interested in materials research and experimental techniques. The course is offered to members of the RIANA project by the RADIATE network, promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange across European ion-beam research facilities.
Please note that minor schedule adjustments may occur; updates will be shared by email 1–2 weeks in advance. If you would like to participate, please contact Dr. S. Zhou at s.zhou@hzdr.de to be added to the course mailing list.
Each Friday, 13:00-14:30, Building 103/211 + Zoom
